Looking for a way to extend the snow play? No worries! This activity requires only five items for loads of good smelling snow time fun.
Supplies:
Bowl
Spoon or spatula
Box of Baking Soda
Hair Conditioner – any kind should work but must be white
*Pan or bin
 Instructions
  • Empty the box of baking soda into the bowl
  • Add about ½ cup of conditioner (I added a little bit more as we started to make snowmen. If add more, add a tiny amount at a time.
  • Stir
  • Once you have achieved the consistency you like pour into bin or pan with some buttons or ribbon or even cookie cutter and watch the fun unfold.
What is really great is that the baking soda conditioner combination feels and stays cool to the touch while you play. So while not as cold as snow, you still get a very neat effect. Also the conditioner makes for a good smelling activity, cleanup is fairly easy and you get to stay warm :)
*I tried to mix and stir in the bin and it caused a bit of a mess because my little scientist wanted to help. Using the bowl is a lot easier to stir together the ingredients than the pan.
**If you have more than one child, I would do a box per child. My kiddo utilized pretty much all of our batch and wanted more.
